Consumer watchdogs expect fuel prices to fall further before they bounce back.
PUB cut prices on gas, diesel and other fuels this morning But Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, doesn’t think the agency can hold back from going further in the next few days.
A barrel of oil has fallen about $15 over the past week or two as demand has fallen, especially in China due to the coronavirus lockdown.
McTeague expects the price to drop another 5 cents and diesel 7-8 cents.
He says prices will return once China lifts its blockade.
