What is the poverty rate among Canada’s seniors?

In Canada, the poverty line is usually defined by a benchmark called a market basket measure, which is the cost of purchasing a particular basket of goods. Only a small percentage of older Canadians live in poverty (mostly single women living alone, indigenous groups or recent immigrants).
