A former coach at a private Christian school in Saskatoon has been charged with sexually assaulting and exploiting a minor.

Aaron Venueweiss, 46, worked at Christian Center Academy, now known as Legacy Christian Academy. Police did not name Benweiss in a news release about the charges, but CBC News confirmed his identity.

A lawsuit was launched against Legacy Christian Academy and an associated Mile Two Church last summer after a CBC News investigation revealed that 18 former students at the same academy had filed criminal complaints with police.
