A state funeral will be held on Hazel McCallion’s 102nd birthday.
The funeral will be held on Valentine’s Day at the Paramount Fine Foods Center in Mississauga.
Originally from Mississauga, Ontario. Mayor Nicknamed “Hurricane Hazel” died Sunday at the age of 101.
Her funeral will be held on February 14th at 11am. Participants are encouraged to arrive one hour earlier than her.
Prime Minister Doug Ford, Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowswell and Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie are expected to attend.

Prior to the service, McCallion rests peacefully at Mississauga City Hall. The public can visit the former mayor on Sundays and Mondays from 11am to 7pm.
The flag will be flown at half-staff across the state on February 14th.
