The Registered Nurses Union does not believe there will be a way for nursing students affected by the MUN strike to complete clinical trials until the MUNFA strike is over.

Concerns have recently been raised nursing student Those who say they cannot complete clinicals until a solution is found may not graduate on time.

Recently, Prime Minister Andrew Furey announced that while the government was closely monitoring the situation and that collective bargaining was underway, all available measures were taken to ensure that nurses could receive education. He said he was looking into ways.

RNU President Yvette Coffey doesn’t believe there is a way to do that without compromising the negotiation process.

She says there’s no way a student can do that without crossing the instructor’s picket line.

The union is calling on Memorial University to return to talks with MUNFA and end the strike. Coffey says the health care system can’t wait for her 70 nursing students who may be delayed in graduating or getting a job.
