The Board of Consolidation of the English School District has appointed Terry Hall to the interim positions of CEO and Superintendent.

Former CEO Tony Stack officially retired yesterday.

Stack has been in the education system for 37 years, first as a teacher and last five years as CEO of a school district.

Stack said he is proud of what the district, school, teachers, staff and students have accomplished. He admits it’s been a steep learning curve.

“I have no regrets,” he admitted of some mistakes, but “you learn from them.”

Stack says he learned a lot about the distance learning program and its possibilities and applications beyond what he was already doing in the distance learning program.

According to him, it used to be difficult to find a full-time French teacher, but now core French is offered to virtually multiple schools.
