For public safety, we are releasing the following information and warnings to the public regarding the recent series of sexual assaults in northwest Calgary.
The same man is believed to have been responsible for at least four sexual assaults in the northwestern communities of Dalhousie and Ranchlands last month.
At approximately 11:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022, the victim exited the Calgary Transit Bus near the intersection of Ranchlands Boulevard and Ranchero Rise and began walking toward her home. Agree.
Later that same night, around 11:45pm, we went to the Dalhousie LRT station. Another victim reported that an unknown man sexually touched her without her consent while walking down a path near an LRT station.
At approximately 12:45 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022, the third victim was walking east on blocks 0 to 100 on Dalton Drive in the northwest when an unknown man approached her from behind and Sexually touched without consent.
Around 5:30am that same day, we went to the Dalhousie LRT station again. A fourth victim reported waiting for a bus at an LRT bus shelter when an unknown man approached her from behind and sexually touched her. Agree.
Investigators are working diligently to obtain a detailed description of the suspect.
Non-consensual sexual contact is sexual assault. It can have lasting effects on victims, making them feel unsafe and vulnerable in public for years after the incident.
