A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being stabbed in Waterloo.
Waterloo District Police said they received a report that a teenager was taken to hospital with a stab wound around 4:50 am on Wednesday.
The victim has life-threatening injuries and remains in an out-of-area hospital.
Investigators determined that the stabbing occurred on Barney Drive and St Moritz Avenue in Waterloo between 12:30 and 1:00 am.

Police said there will be a large police presence in the area on Wednesday.
Both the Edna Stabeler Public School and the YMCA Child Care Center will be closed on Wednesday. The Public School Board said student learning will continue at home and teachers will teach asynchronously.
