Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Gives Drax and the Team Perfect Exits, Says Dave Bautista

Dave Bautista is teaming with Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, so he has no plans to return to play the character again.

during a recent appearance The Tonight ShowBautista claims that the upcoming Guardians movie will be his final outing as Drax the Destroyer, with him and his co-stars signed up for a trilogy and writer-director James Gunn. He mentioned that he created the “perfect exit” for the team.

“This is my seventh movie as Drax. And my third Guardian [movie]’” he explained to host Jimmy Fallon. It’s kind of like that we all signed up to make a trilogy. I think this will be the final version of Guardians of the Galaxy. ”

“We all had perfect character arcs and storybook endings like that,” Bautista said. I ended up with a storybook note and I’ll never go back and hurt it.And it’s just like this.

“With Drax, I had to finish in a perfect way,” he added. “And I would never sign up for another job as Drax just to get paid.” it will hurt. [perfect ending], and I don’t do that. ”

Besides being Drax’s swan song, Guardians 3 is expected to be Gunn’s final MCU movie. Together they devised a long-term plan for his revamped DCU. This is called Chapter 1 “Gods and Monsters”.

Gunn called the upcoming Guardians movie a painful and emotional farewell compared to the more upbeat Disney+ holiday special.
