Wembley Stadium was held in London Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concertbut we haven’t forgotten the star-studded event — and neither Nandi BushelThe tween drummer took to Twitter Wednesday to give a heartfelt shout-out to another young musical prodigy, Hawkins’ 16-year-old son Shane.
Bushell spread the love with a one-minute video consisting of a clip of the duo rocking out together before a tribute concert. “Shane is one of the nicest, friendliest, most talented people I have ever met. He’s a lot of fun to be with and has a lot of energy.”
The pair practice several songs in the video, including the Foo Fighters classic “Everlong” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” The drums both seem like kid-favorite instruments, but Bushell also shows off a lick of bass while Hawkins shreds guitar.
Not that further confirmation was needed, but Shane certainly must be proud of his father. See Bushell’s post below.
This is the latest in Bushell’s seemingly endless jam sessions. Just earlier this week, she posted a clip of Lockout on Rage Her Against the Machine. “Kill by Name” with her brother, who she said teaches about “all the great rock and metal bands.” And earlier this month, she also shared a memorable cover of Eminem’s famous speed her track “Rap God.”
