As promised, James Gunn today revealed some of the upcoming DC Universe schedule, giving fans a better look at what to expect from the DC studios in the future.
Here is the current DCU schedule:
- Shazam!wrath of the gods — Available March 17, 2023. Shazam! In the sequel, Zachary Levi returns as the titular hero, battling the Daughters of Atlas played by Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, and Helen Mirren.
- flash — Published June 16, 2023. Ezra her mirror returns to her DC her universe as Barry Allen and travels back in time in an attempt to prevent her mother’s murder. The cast also includes Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as different versions of Batman and Sasha Kull as Supergirl.
- blue beetle — Available August 18, 2023. Xolo Maridueña welcomes Jaime Reyes to his DCU. Initially he was set for an HBO Max release, but it’s now arriving in theaters, starring George Lopez and Susan Sarandon.
- aquaman and the lost kingdom — Available December 25, 2023. Aquaman In this film, Jason Momoa returns as a hero with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Black Manta seeking revenge after his father’s death.
In the future, the following 10 projects are planned.
- creature commando — a seven-episode animated series written by Gunn. It is already in production. It’s a modern take on a team of monsters assembled to fight the Nazis. Where antiheroes appear in movies and shows, the voice cast also portrays live-action versions of the characters.
- Waller —a peacemaker Spin-off starring Viola Davis, written by Crystal Henry and Jeremy Carver.
- Superman: Legacy — an upcoming Superman movie written by Gunn that isn’t an origin story.
- paper lantern — Greg Berlanti green lantern The series has been scrapped and replaced by a new show starring Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart.
- authority — a movie based on the Wildstorm superhero.
- Paradise Lost — The alleged HBO Max series game of thronesA style drama set in Themyscira. takes place before wonder woman.
- brave and brave — new Batman movie featuring Damian Wayne.
- batman part ii — Robert Pattinson will return for the sequel, which will be released on October 3, 2025.
- booster gold — HBO Max series based on low-tier superheroes.
- Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow — a Supergirl movie based on the Tom King miniseries.
- Swamp Thing — A DC horror film that concludes the first chapter of the new DCU.
With a clear vision, the DC Universe can now move forward toward a unified goal instead of feeling disjointed.
