All new phones have been upgraded to the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip “for the Galaxy”, which is a custom version of the processor theoretically optimized by the company to make it even better with ray tracing. It achieves better graphics and faster AI processing.

The chip further enhances the phone’s computational photography capabilities, including improved low-light performance and more intelligent processing of selfies. Its front-facing camera has also been standardized across the product line, with resolution up from 10 megapixels on the S22 and S22 Plus, but of the S22 Ultra 40 megapixels. The speed improvements will allow you to record 1080p for slow motion at 120 frames per second, and you should get better results from 60 fps.

Samsung also introduced Synchronization between Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Samsung PC with this generation.

Phone prices start at $1,200 (£1,249, AU$1,949). Ships February 17th. Pre-orders have already started.

Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus

The appearance of the base model and the large step-up model has remained largely unchanged.

Both phones’ batteries are boosted by 200 mAh, up to 3,900 mAh on the S23 and up to 4,700 mAh on the S23 Plus. Plus now has an entry storage capacity of 256 GB.

The Galaxy S23 starts at $800 (£849, AU$1,349) and the S23 Plus starts at $1,000 (£1,049, AU$1,649). It is available for pre-order now and will ship on February 17th.

Galaxy Book 3 Pro and Pro 360

A 16-inch, 16:10 screen, upgraded camera, audio and port configurations are also included in the clamshell and 2-in-1 downline models. The Galaxy Book 3 Pro is 4mm thinner and about 8 ounces lighter than the Ultra. There’s also a 14-inch model that weighs 2.6 pounds (1.2 kilograms).

The 16-inch Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 two-in-one comes with one of Samsung’s better S Pens, and it’s also the only model that comes with optional 5G wireless.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra and Pro and Pro 360 laptops are available for pre-order now on Samsung’s site, with the Pro models expected to start shipping on February 17th.
