A two-year-old child that was the subject of an Amber Alert Friday has been found safe after Winnipeg police allege he was “taken” from a home.
Police say a two-year-old boy was taken believed to be in the company of two women Friday.
He was last seen at a home on Chesterfield Avenue in Winnipeg at around 10:09 a.m. He was taken following a dispute with his biological mother, police said.

The child “was taken from the residence wrapped in a dark blue and light blue blanket,” the alert read.
“It is unknown where they are going and unknown what vehicle they left in.”
The alert was issued just after 1 p.m. Police said around 2 p.m. the boy was found safe.
Caitlin Monkman, 30, is described as 5’8” with a heavy build. She was last seen wearing dark clothing and light-colored shoes.
Jawbone, 25 is also described as 5’7” with a heavy build. She was last seen wearing dark clothing and light-colored shoes.
Anyone who sees them is asked to not approach and call 911.
